Logic - A BLF is setup to allow a user to monitor other users via a light on their phone, allowing them to see when the user is on a call, it appears on the programmable buttons near the display. BLF's can also be used to pick up another users line if ringing and used as a speed dial to call another user.
Step 1. Navigate to the user you want the BLF to display on.
Step 2. On the left-hand side under the Options menu select "Client Applications".
Step 3. Select "Busy Lamp Field" under the Basic menu
Step 4. Inside Busy Lamp Field at the top is "List URI SIP", if this field is not filled in already enter the user ID located at the top of the page and append "_BLF" as shown below then follow the instructions here to rebuild the device configuration files and reboot the device to force the phone to download the updated changes.
Step 5. Underneath at Enter Search Criteria Below we can either search the entire database by putting in zero information for users to monitor, or search for a specific user(s). Once the proper users are found, select them, click "Add" to put them under the Monitored Users section. If a removal request, do the opposite and select them and click "Remove". After the correct changes are made, select "Apply" at the bottom. User BLF's will appear on the phone in the order they are displayed in the list.
