Changing the name associated with an extension

Logic - Users are extensions within Broadsmart. You will want to ensure that the names associated with your extensions are kept up to date so that when an internal call is placed the correct name of the caller appears and the correct name appears in your enterprise directory/receptionist listings.



Step 1. Navigate to the user that you need to update the name for


Step 2. Select "Profile" under the Basic menu


Step 3. Update the "Last Name", "First Name", "Calling Line ID Last Name" and "Calling Line ID First Name" fields to the new users information and then select the "Apply" button


Step 4. Follow the instructions here to rebuild the device configuration files and reboot the phone.
